In an effort to improve the quality and reusability of digital resources, and to follow the worldwidetrendofdata-sharing in an open digital framework, the Academia Sinica Center for Digital Cultures (ASCDC) has released the datasets inmachine-readable format in Linked Open Data(LOD). The ASCDC LODdatasets arethe machine-readable informationproviding the SPARQL endpoint query service and available for download in formats of JSON, RDF, Turtle and N-Triples. The database includes information from the Taiwan digital archives Union Catalog (TaiUC) and various from other research organizations and institutes, allowing Taiwan to contribute its valuable research to the international community, connecting databases worldwide and broadening them. We have currently modeled our system after the Europeana Data Model, merging the wide range of subjects and content to LOD format, reconciling the data and reusing existed or creating suitable semantic vocabularies to retain and enrich the data’s original meaning. The data is also linked to external authority resources such as AAT, DBpedia, GeoNames and VIAF.
